Michael "Mikey T" Taliadoros - More than just a voice

The sad news of matchday radio commentator Mikey T passing away shook the club in early October, but he was more than just a voice to the masses.

Michael “Mikey T” Taliadoros will forever be linked with Wimbledon Football Club.

He wasn’t a player or a manager; after all, they come and go. Some of those, of course, gain status that lives on in fans' memories. Quite ironic then that Mikey T had arguably the best memory of such players and their exploits.

For many, he was the voice of Radio WDON, the club’s own commentary that spun across the world. We know that because of the shoutouts he would give to people from the furthest reaches of the globe. His quick wit and word soup would bring the matchday action to life for those who would otherwise be starved of the matchday experience. From the early days, as the AFC Wimbledon wagon rolled across the southern counties, to Wembley for big games and playoff victories, Mikey would always have the right words for the occasion.
