Scoring goals has become a real issue for the Dons, apart from one man

Where would we be without Jayden Stockley in the first quarter of the season? Simple answer: far worse off than we are right now. With goals at a premium, is it just down to injuries, or a lack of outright ability?

One of the problems facing Wimbledon so far is scoring goals. It does have a familiar feel to it, as we have never been really prolific and certainly lacked a consistent 20-goal striker.

That may be changing this season, although I’m sure in the back of everyone's minds is keeping Jayden Stockley fit because, as of right now, there is no one else at his level within the club.

Stockley has settled in well, and it is no real surprise he is scoring goals. He has done so wherever he has been. Several loan spells at the start of his career while on the books at AFC Bournemouth had him bag goals at Accrington Stanley, Woking, and Exeter City amongst others. A move to The Grecians in 2017 saw him score 36 in 66 appearances. Preston North End, Charlton Athletic, and more recently Port Vale all witnessed him score.
